Public Advocacy and Giving Back
 
In today’s busy day-to-day existence, even professional caregivers 
can often forget to slow down and smell the roses, to balance work,
family, and friends…and still give back. For those in need, including 
the low-income frail elderly, we must remember, “There but for the 
grace of God go I.” Bringing kids and seniors together is encouraged 
and mutually beneficial on all levels.
 
There are so many ways to give back within that busy schedule. 
You can volunteer for a frail senior needing comfort or guidance to 
maintain independence. You can lobby for the elderly, education 
initiatives for children and adults or a sustainable green future 
online while you multitask at home, supporting legislation to help 
seniors and therefore, someday, you and yours, such as increased 
long term care reimbursement. Of course, you can give back by 
supporting causes that focus on healthcare, education and planet 
saving philanthropy as well.
 
There is a substantial shortfall in low-income housing options for 
the elderly and handicapped. Tim Cassidy, Senior Consulting’s 
President, has written many articles such as the need for caregiver 
support or how we all can invest in our communities.We encourage 
all to help our elderly. As the Circle of Care suggests, we will be 
helping ourselves at the same time as well as gaining great personal
satisfaction and setting lasting examples for our children to follow

Children are our greatest asset and our brightest hope for the 
future. The potential of too many children in this country is being 
overlooked and left untapped. With so many children living below
the poverty level, receiving little or no healthcare, and being left in 
front of televisions while their parents work multiple jobs, their 
wonderful minds remain unchallenged and under stimulated. 
Volunteering your time or resources to help local youth centers, 
YMCA programs, church youth groups, and sports associations 
can make a world of difference in the lives of our children and help 
create a generation that will view the world as a kind and loving 
place in which they can succeed no matter what their background. 
Supporting legislative efforts to provide quality healthcare to all 
children is another vital step they you can make by taking the time 
to contact your legislators to tell them that anything less is 
unacceptable.
 
It is vital to ensure that our planet remains safe and continues to 
provide the resources to support the lives of its inhabitants. 
Conservation and recycling are not enough. Every business 
must strive to give back to this earth as much as it takes from it. 
We must all pay serious attention to daily green efforts.
